This is in the 4.5-4.7 star range for me! This was great but I didn’t love it as much as the author’s “Every Time We Meet at Dairy Queen..” story so I couldn’t give it a 5. I’ve gotta read more of Mellick’s work for sure!!! His style of writing and quirky characters are right up my alley.
obviously wasn't expecting this to be good going into it but I also wasn't expecting the asian fetish either!
The Haunted Vagina is a great concept with a lot of potential. Unfortunately, this author completely wastes it all. Despite being centered around a vagina, this novella is so male-centric, which shows up in the skewed perspective and many little details. There is also a vein of misogyny laced throughout, like the way that the main character, Steve, talks about Stacy, or the way Stacy's actions always are a reflection of Steve's choices. It is not great. There are other pieces of the story that did not sit right for me. I would not necessarily call them racist, but maybe racist adjacent. Not to mention the use of the r word. Again, it is not great. On top of that, once you got past the initial concept, the story was pretty boring. There is definitely an awesome tale to be told centered around this main idea, but it is not within the pages of this book. Did I mention that it is not great?
What.. what the fuck did I just read?
Stacy's vagina is a gateway to another world. What? I do not know. Stacy convinces her wimpy, pushover boyfriend, Steve, to enter her vagina. Makes sense?
It dawns on me. I'm all the way inside of her. I'm like a human penis.
Bro?
This whole book was one big wtf?
I've never read any "bizarro" fiction before, so this book was my introduction to the genre. I did not hate it. But did I enjoy it? A little. I think the writing could've been better, and the story more fleshed (lol) out.

What did I just read?! How did someone even come up with that?! How was it published?! Why?!
