I think I just added this because of the Lady Astronaut series. And space.
This was good and readable. But really I'm not much of murder mysteries. Or cocktails. Or dogs, no matter how cute other people find them.
But this was a fun book anyway, though perhaps it got just a little bit silly. And the use of technology as well as communications time lag was just great.
There were just too many elements in it that really weren't for me. But I'm glad to have read it.
The afterword was also really good. Including for sure the afterword on cocktails. And service dogs. 3.5 of 5.

3.5 stars, which I rounded up to 4.
The cover art is gorgeous! This science fiction mystery is set on a space cruise. I was impressed with the ship layout, which is shown on a diagram in the beginning of the book (it was pretty helpful in picturing the ship). Each section of the cruise ship had different modes of gravity: Lunar, Martian, and Terran (Earth). The device the main character uses for pain management was interesting. It allowed her to move around easier, yet she still had to be careful with her body to prevent more damage occurring.
Tesla (the main character) and her husband, Shal, are on the cruise spacecraft for their honeymoon. When Shal is arrested for murdering a fellow passenger, Tesla takes the investigation into her own hands to prove her husband’s innocence, and catch the real guilty party. I thought the mystery was intriguing, and I did not predict the ending. The relationship between Tesla and Shal was realistic. I really liked how Shal and Tesla listened and supported each other. They also disagreed at points, but remained respectful to one another. Tesla is self-aware of the power she holds through her money and fame. It was nice to see that she treated customer service workers well, and tried to not pressure people (other than incompetent security personnel).

Fun murder-mystery, like Agatha Christie in space plus witty banter.

Clever and charming. I have no complaints, but it's not life-changing or anything. A good vacation read.
