I marked this book as read even though, honestly, I didn't even finish. I found it dull. Nothing like Misery! I'm not quitting on reading through Stephen King, but this book is just too boring, especially if I'm reading it in short bursts at school.

I'm a huge King fan but had never actually picked this one up. He really never lets me down. There are few authors who can maintain a story with one character and keep it interesting. Trisha is a well developed character for a nine year old. I really liked
the combination of eldritch horror and reality with the God of the Lost and the bear, and like that it's still possible there really was a God of the Lost.
Overall, fantastic read. I devoured it in a day.

4.5 stars. This was great! I really like survival stories and I stumbled upon this one and I loved it!

It’s written like only Stephen King can write: it lures you in and keeps you tight. His character work is great. Emotions are raw. I cried at the end.
