I'm honestly shocked that more people don't seem to like this book. I don't even like baseball and I really like it. There is a simplicity in plot and only a few characters - these aspects make it very different from a lot of King's books. It oddly reminds me of House of Leaves in regards to getting lost and the questionable existence of a monster lurking somewhere nearby. I think it is one of King's better books.
