Great book. This is the first SK I’ve read that actually scared me. It actually gave me nightmares! I had to stop reading a couple of times at night when it got too spooky.

The ending was good too. None of the characteristic weirdness/terribleness of SK’s endings.

Highly recommend this to people wanting classic SK and a good scare.

Don't really like man (or, in this case, 9-year-old girl) vs. nature as a literary conflict, but this is an okay story.

Less gore, more real life suspense and fear. I like it much better than the last King book I read, From a Buick 8
