I was fully ready to review this with "the barbecue was way too boring for the way it was played up" but then we found out what happened and god!!! so painful it made me put down the book multiple times. I still think the build-up was too long but I loved the small plot twist in the ending and Clementine & Erica's friendship was really different to what you usually read about.
