Definitely one of the more intricate and memorable ones in the Marple oeuvre. The plot and solution was the one that stuck with me the most, so it was interesting to reread and catch all the details knowing fairly was going to happen. Poor Murgatroyd...
Jaaaa dit was weer een hele leuke Miss Marple. Nu wordt het tijd om weer eens wat anders te lezen dan whodunits. Misschien.

Finally an Agatha Christie novel where
I figure out whodunnit. Sadly, I didn't figure out why.
This is also my first Miss Marple mystery, and I rather enjoy the lack of inscrutable Belgians.
I'm not going to put any spoilery bits in this review, but I was pretty surprised to see a positive depiction of putative lesbians.
There is also a pretty grim depiction of post-war England which is pretty matter of fact. England didn't get a US-style boom after the war. But hey, they got Agatha Christie, so fair trade.
