I love a good Miss Marple mystery…especially when they feature a unique premise and twists I truly don’t see coming/can’t puzzle out. While not a standout of Christie’s to me, it was cozy and interesting nonetheless! A good read.

I've always loved a good Christie novel and A Murder is Announced is definitely a good Christie Novel. Miss Marple is called on to help solve a murder that began as what several people thought as a murder mystery dinner party. "A Murder is Announced" proclaims an add in the town's newspaper, inviting all to an event at the house of Miss Blacklock. The lights go out and a man enters with a flashlight and the words of a robber. Gun shots are heard and when the lights come back on, he is dead. The suspects are many and the motives are few, but Miss Marple is on the case. Another great mystery for any Christie lovers or for those who like classic detective novels where solving the case is not clouded by car chases and gun shooting matches.

Honestly, towards the top of my favorite Agatha reads! Was fun learning about others’ theorizing and observations about the murder. Fun twist~
