Fairly standard Christie. Lots of misdirection, almost no one in this book is who they claim to be. I had a feeling who the killer was and I was correct but there was a lot going on in the middle of it and I had no idea as to the motive until it was all laid out in the last couple chapters. Miss Marple didn’t show up until a fair bit later in the book which always annoys me, but her presence was effective and it was nice to see the police in this book actually being part of the action and not just completely on the sideline.
Sometimes I think Christie throws every plot device into one book. For all the confusion I felt during the middle part when it came to what all these characters were doing in the book it made sense .

The twist was a bit of a stretch here. It was a decent story but had far too little Ms. Marple for my taste.
This was a good mystery with likeable characters and a great resolution.
Me ha gustado mucho. Se trata de uno de esos misterios ‘cozy’ de la autora. Con ello quiero decir que se sitúa en un pueblo inglés, hay sentido del humor, personajes entrañables, vecinas cotillas, y crímenes poco sangrientos. Son de los que más disfruto porque, aunque no sea el misterio más revolucionario de la autora (y me olí quien era el/la asesino/a), disfruto mucho todo el proceso. Me he reído con varias frases de los protagonistas, con ese típico ingenio inglés y siempre me sorprendo con cómo Miss Marple ata todos los cabos.
Tiene un punto naif y rocambolesco, pero si ya sabes a lo que vas pues no hay problema con eso.
