This is the cutest little graphic novel. The cottagecore vibes are goals here. When I say cottagecore, this is what I want. I want to be a little sentient vegetable that gardens and takes my vegetables to the market every week. This is just utterly delightful.
The illustrations are adorable and I loved the details of there being puffed sleeves and pinafores. It’s so cozy and cute and would be absolutely perfect to read in the fall. This would be great for all ages but I think this would be really fun for kids, too. Loved this and I will definitely be reading the sequel.
Representation: Garlic is the most anxious little creature and I love her. Also Carrot uses they/them pronouns which. I’m not sure if it counts as nonbinary rep or something? XD But it’s cool.

Beautiful colourful illustrations. Brave little garlic with anxiety. Fun ending. Very autumnal without being scary.

Los vegetales y frutas están muy asustados y deciden enviar a la pequeña Ajo a luchar con él, después de todo tiene una protección natural... en teoría.
Las ilustraciones son tan tiernas y ajo es un amor de personaje, es un libro corto maravilloso tanto para niños como adultos.
