This was absolutely precious. A TALKING GARLIC WHO CONFRONTS A VAMPIRE? It’s hard to go wrong with that! I was a little confused and skeptical at first, but this ended up being very heartwarming and fun to read! It has many comedic moments along with many that were sentimental, a perfect balance in my opinion. I also love that this was mostly set on a farm and, again, TALKING VEGETABLES! I loved it! I would recommend this to anyone looking for a lighthearted fantastical graphic novel.

This is adorable in the best way possible, Garlic is adorable, Garlics friends are adorable, the witch is adorable even the bloody world is adorable.
It just makes me want to snuggle up and float away to a magical land where veggies are alive and work in the garden with them.
When I first heard the titel I was like oh boy is this going to be dark and halloweenesk.. But no it just makes you feel good and lulls you into this sweet embrace of veggies with personalities. And I for one is here for it! 100%!

Typically I don’t read middle grade because it is a bit too young for me. However, I saw this graphic novel on Tik Tok and just thought it was the cutest thing ever. And I was right! This is the most adorable thing I have ever read. The art in this is super cozy and cute. I loved the little adventure our friend Garlic went on.
