OMG! This was too cute! I swear, every other page I was gushing over the characters. The designs are so cute and the whole vibe of the book just embodies warmth. In the first book ,we meet Garlic, a sentient garlic bulb that lives in a village with other veggie and fruit people that sell produce in a market run by a witch. Garlic is very anxious about everything and this anxiety peaks when she is tasked with confronting a vampire that has apparently moved into an abandanced castle nearby. Though, she quickly finds out that this vampire is no threat at all. I loved that the vampire, Count, becomes a friend to Garlic and the village. Witch Agnes, the one who made Garlic and her friends, even vows to help Count make a good blood substitute. Like I already mentioned, the art design is impeccable and so cute and cozy. I really like how humorous the book is and the overall themes throughout such as facing fears and friendship.

This adorable tale is a feast for the eyes (pun intended), with cute characters and a vibrant setting that brings the vegetable folk to life. Garlic's friendship with Carrot and the encouragement from the kindly Witch Agnes add heartwarming layers to the story. Hands down, the veggie characters steal the show. I mean, who doesn't love talking veggie people?
