Great read! Especially with the inserts of the series Supernatural lol

Like the previous books in the series, I enjoyed this one quite a lot.
All the characters are interesting and I actually care about them, some plot twists were very easy to see, but a couple took me by surprise and not in a bad way.
Trin is very relatable, but not in an annoying quirky way, she just reacts the way I think most of us would to certain situations.
The spice is minimal and on par for a young adult audience (tho us who have been reading fanfiction for a while are used to much stronger content lol)
I don't have much else to say, I enjoyed the ending and it was very satisfying

Cringe. So cringe. I made it through the series because once I start, I have to know how the ending goes even if the books aren’t that great. Totally the case here.

I couldn’t figure out why I got weird vibes from Trinity until I realized she’s a “pick me”. The Coke and Oreos was giving “I’m a pizza and beer girlie”. You can tell the author is Gen X, trying to make the MC seem cool and relevant, but it missed the mark. As a millennial, it felt like Trinity was a high school millennial, rather than Gen z. It could be considered a minor detail, but when being a “pick me”, her coloquialisms, her grace (which she high key sucks at weilding for supposedly being so strong???) and her bf are her entire personality…it’s pretty noticeable how far off the mark the author was with making the MC relevant and relatable.

I was disappointed because I enjoy the Blood & Ash series by this author. I’d say the series can definitely be skipped unless cringe is your thing. To each their own.

Peanut was still the best character. And Roth and Cayman. They really carried the series.

Roth didn’t make an appearance until page 318. WHAT THE HELL IS THAT?

At least Cayman was around, and Lucifer really knows how to make an entrance. It’s also hilarious that 99% of the time Lucifer was topside, he was just bingeing Supernatural and Pop-Tarts. (When he wasn’t saving the world, ofc)

This was waaaaay too much romance, like chapters and chapters and chapters of the most intensely cringe dialog I've ever seen.

And it ended pretty anticlimactically. The twist was fine, but three books working up to this final showdown against the Harbinger, and it lasted like five pages. With the protagonist, THE LITERAL SWORD OF MICHAEL, getting her ass handed to her per usual. 😐
