A little more predictable than I’d have liked - Except for the final chapter! Devoured this book in a day!

It took me a bit to get into it. First person perspective and present tense is not my cup of tea, but I was nonetheless intrigued by the story. I enjoyed the little twists here and there and trying to figure out who you can trust and who you can't. Although I had my suspicions, it wasn't too obvious. However, it could have used a bit more editing. For me as someone whose first language is NOT english, it was at times confusing, trying to figure out if some things are written like this on purpose or if it's an error that slipped through editing (like interchanged names of characters). I also didn't warm up to most of the main characters which was a bummer, too.

Plot: Sisters Clare and Alice were separated when they were young – one taken to America with their dad, the other staying in the UK with their mum. Over the years, Alice’s mum has searched for Clare, hoping that she’s still out there and okay but with little success until suddenly, after their father’s death, she reappears in their lives. But after so long, can the bond that once held them together still stand strong, especially in the face of what’s going on? Clare begins to wear Alice’s clothes, copy her hairstyle, move in on her mum and husband. Is Alice just paranoid or is Clare not who she seems?

My thoughts: I was clearly on a psychological thriller kick at the time I was reading all these books, and this is one the truest books in that genre! It honestly kept me guessing throughout and pulled the wool over my eyes on more than one occasion.
I found the characters to be really well-built, so much so that I ended up siding with certain people and rooting for them. The fast-pacing left me feeling anxiety ridden at the situations occurring and exhausted at trying to figure out what was really going on.
Sister Sister was a really good read that I would highly recommend, particularly if you like psychological thrillers and want one that you can read quickly.

Just okay. There was a lot of stuff that I felt could have been left out of the book and it would have been better. Very slow moving and the twist was anti-climatic.

Definitely had a lot of twists and a lot of elements that I like reading. But it did get rather predictable and several aspects of it really felt like books I've read before. I also felt like it wrapped up awkwardly, introducing more questions into the last couple pages without answering all the questions presented earlier in the book. Then those final questions weren't answered either. The main character also behaved super foolishly in a lot of scenes, especially considering she is a lawyer, and made mistakes and comments one would not expect her to make.

While the beginning started a bit slow, I soon found myself pulled in and rapidly turning pages by the end.
I quickly guessed the primary twist and felt the foreshadowing was a bit too heavy as several minor twists were easy to determine as well. I could feel Clare's frustrations, though oftentimes she seemed dense in how she reacted and communicated.
Overall, though, this was a fast, fun read with an interesting story line.

So many twists and turns in this book. This was my first by this author but it won't be my last. Loved how it gripped you right from the first pages! Great read!
