Watch Over Me

I didn’t like this book at all as it was too dramatic and things were shown in detail.

The only thing that I liked about the plot was how Tristan and Zoey told Will straight away that they were seeing each other which meant that the obvious conflict didn’t happen. Everything else that happened was really dramatic or it wasn’t shown at all. In the blurb it says that Zoey has been looking after her mother and little sister for a long time but it doesn’t even mention her little brother, Cole, who is important to the story. It says that Zoey takes care of them all but none of that is shown. Sure, the first chapter said something about Zoey packing Cole’s homework but after that it was like they didn’t even exist.

The main characters were fine but they didn’t really do anything and this book was written in a way that it was as if nothing existed outside of them. Tristan didn’t ever go to work, apart from one of the first chapters and Zoey’s job was only shown to make something happen which made it seem forced. In that chapter where Zoey’s job is shown she meets Tristan’s friends as she’s their waitress then for the next few scenes they’re not even mentioned and then there are scenes where it shows them acting as if they’ve known each other forever when there weren’t even any scenes showing them getting to know more than just each other’s names.

I don’t think this author’s writing is for me because I don’t like how dramatic it is and that nothing really exists apart from the main characters.

I really enjoyed this book. It was a slow burn but in the end it was worth it.

I absolutely enjoyed Mila Gray's watch over me series and I had been waiting to get to this book!! I really loved the thriller element that she brought to this book. Not only did I love the main characters Zoey and Tristan but I loved the side characters that were Zoey's family. I also liked how past characters from previous books popped up throughout the book and you got a small update about them. One thing I also enjoyed about Zoey's character was how strong and determined she was by the end of the book.

What can I say except that I really loved this story! Watching Zoey not only grow but become stronger was amazing and it showed the growth she had by accepting Tristen into her life. I adored their friendship and love their relationship. The ups and downs were written well and the storyline created in such a way that as a reader you want to devour the entire book (which I did.)
emotional tense medium-paced

Felt like I had read something really similar to this but idk what. It was decent but not my fave

I enjoyed this book. I really liked tristan, but I wish we just got more personality from pretty much everyone. i liked the story with her dad because It was really interesting and added a lot of drama but i just felt like i wanted to get to know them as characters too. as i read: i like that it’s taking place in vegas that’s really fun. i remember reading in real life which was in vegas and i rlly liked that setting. okay not set in vegas lol. cole annoys me and like i get that's a totally real thing that happens but he was still annoying. i want more of their relationship and just like them as a couple. i felt like it took a little long to get started and when it finally did it was over a little too fast. i just wish it were a little longer because then we could have gotten to know them better. i liked it a lot more then run away with me, but come back to me is still my favorite. i also liked that we got to see kit and jessa and then walker and didi. i do think its weird how distant the third book is from these ones though, but oh well i still thought it was a good book and i read it really fast.

This is the 4th book in a series but they can all be read as standalones.

Brother’s best friend, suspense, family and love. This book was just as emotional as the rest of the books in this series. This story follows Zoey and Tristian. Zoey is a caring person, while she takes care of her brother and basically her mother too, she is always putting everyone first. Tristian becomes the perfect fit and match for Zoey. He helps her out and becomes the person she needs in life, he helps Zoey lift that weight off of her shoulders a little bit and Zoey becomes less afraid and stressed about her abusive father. Zoey and Tristian create such a beautiful connection between each other.

DNF. I wanted to like this book but the characters had absolutely no personality and storyline was overly dramatic.
