This got a slightly worse rating than the other two Gregory books in part because I read it right after The Other Boleyn Girl and it kind of overlapped chronologically, so it wasn't quite as engaging.

This book is one of the Phillipa Gregory collection I have been reading and it is one of the longest ones I have read so far, but I had no trouble at reading it until the very end but I usually struggle with reading a book when I know soon I will have to pick up another one.
Unlike, White Princess, this book is about a longer period of time and is more diverse in the topic. White Princess only focuses on the accomplishments of the female lead during her marriage where as this one actually starts off shortly after White Princess finishes and lasts all the way through to the death of the main lead. I would say this was a spoiler but I would say anyone who knows history is unable to disagree with me on this. I must admit I did kind of spoil the ending for myself by looking the history up of the lead, bur I didn't think that the author would write all the way to their death. So I guess you could say that me saying the death part is more of a warning then a spoiler.
It is written, just like White Princess, in first person and does not skip between each scene and between each character which I greatly appreciated in this book. I must admit I preferred King's Curse a lot more then I currently like White Queen and a little less then I liked White Princess because I think it may have been slightly too long in some chapters, especially those which had difficult topics like stillbirths or miscarriages.
"Henry is greatly offended at the suggestion of loose behavior from his sister, and writes to her and her unwanted husband to remind them very grandly that the marriage bond is an indissoluble tie and marriage is a sacred that no man can put asunder."
