Engaging in parts - the older characters are beautifully drawn and have great story arcs - but the younger ones feel very 2-dimensional, predictable, dull. Persevered because I’ve loved other Kingsolver books and assumed, hoped I’d be in for a treat finish. I was wrong. The two older characters in a short story would have been perfect, the rest was meh.
