I haven't been a Bruce and Selina shipper. I'm still not sure how their relationship is going to go in King's current run because, well, these are comic books and the heroes just don't get nice things. (She better not end up dead in a fridge though.) This, combined with the last two issues, is making me really like Bat and Cat together. I could have really done without the feels punching me in the gut because, y'know, feels, but still. Wow.

I don't ever review individual comics because I normally read them in graphic novel form, and reviewing a single issue feels pointless to me most times. However, given that this is a standalone issue and I've read it like 5 times I feel like it deserves it's own rating/review.

This is hands down, the best issue of Batman that I have ever read. It's touching, beautifully written, and a wonderful homage to bat/cats relationship. I can fully admit that I cry nearly every time I read it. I wouldn't change anything about this issue and it's Tom Kings writing at it's finest.

Can't believe how much I enjoyed this. Wish I'd bought it in hard copy, but it's sold out everywhere. Anyway, full thoughts here: http://thepopbreak.com/2017/11/30/batman-annual-2-a-must-read-for-bat-cat-fans/

One of the best one shot comics I've ever read. Most emotion I've felt from a comic since Busiek's Secret Identity or Astro City #1.

Loved it! I thought this was a bold move on Tom King’s part. In the past, Batman writers would tease a relationship but this issue really delved into the idea of them growing old together. There’s no plot but the character development is enlightening. Batman is so defined by the loss of his parents and while he had the Robins and Alfred, he doesn’t really have a female family member with whom to relate. It makes me
happy to see him this way. That last page with Cat and the cat... ugh I’m still
weeping a little
