I listened to this as an audiobook, and it was very engaging and well performed. I liked the character arc of Owen . Saffyre was harder to understand with her lack of communication and hiding out.

It was okay. A bit slow for me and a lot of it seemed a bit far fetched. Like I'm supposed to believe that they live in a big metro, big enough to have a tube station, yet the same half-dozen characters continually run into each other at all hours? Meh.

think i’m falling out of my lisa jewell phase, which is a shame. while having wildly different plots, her stories all have the same formula feel of like.. woman w a shitty husband, insane things start happening around them after a shift in their life/relationship and then some third act plot twist w a character who was mentioned briefly on page twenty
