I slung this down in two days while working, though it was one of those books that are fun to read despite not being the strongest plot-wise. It felt a bit all over the place, and the ending was very unsatisfying
given that finding out who murdered Mr. Larkin was the entire premise of the book.

I really liked Brynn and Tripp together, though. I think the characters in this book were one of the main reasons I finished it so quickly.

Not my favorite by Karen M McManus but def better than You'll be the Death of Me.
I liked the twists and turns and finding out who really was responsible for Mr Larkin's death. I wasn't expecting the whodunnit but I am notoriously bad at figuring that sort of thing out. Also liked the little nod to One of Us is Lying.
My only complaint with her books overall is the lack of diversity.

Not as top-tier as her other books have been, but still a compelling and addictive read! There were too many little subplots for my liking, it was a little too confusing to keep up with all the new names and roles. Props for the author for always managing to write great YA mysteries, I don't usually read that genre but her books are an excellent exception!

I really loved Nothing more to tell and pray that it's true to its title because phew!!! This was just overwhelming. Atleast the Law and Order series gives you a break every now and then with the  DUN-DUN sound. This is one of those titles where I felt it was necessary lol. The Plot kept thickening and twisting. I kept thinking "GOOD LORD!!! WHAT ELSE COULD HAPPEN?!?!?!?😩😰"

I honestly could not have predicted so many plot twists and gave up guessing what was happening next. This book feels like those videos of erratic, twisting slides people, for some reason, enjoy and you see them unable to grip  anything and slamming into the walls.. Well, that's how I felt while listening to the audio....I LOVED IT!!!🥰

⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐

If you've followed Ms for long enough, you'd know by now I much I love Karen McManus. And as soon as I saw that she was releasing a new book, you can bet that I pre ordered it straight away!

I love, love, love YA Mysteries!! And this one did not disappoint! It had the romance part which as much as I know it's a mystery book, I can't leave without! I didn't see the twist coming at all and the ending was just damn!

I always love McManus' characters! Even though they're supposed to be teens and I am a couple years past my teens, I can still relate to them pretty well! Not entirely, because mind the UK school system is very different from the US but some things just don't change.

Even though it does involve death, its not too graphic unlike so other YA Mysteries I have read. Which to me is great. My brother is 11 and I still probably let him read it!

I think this is one of my more favorite Karen McManus books! Meaning that it took me a little longer to figure out the mystery than usual. There are a lot of twists and turns in this particular story that really make you stay on your toes. Which always makes mysteries more exciting!

My qualm with this one is the ending seems really abrupt? There's a fairly big climax, but not much resolution. We kind of get the mystery figured out, but not quite. Maybe this means she wants to use this to write other stories? I guess we shall see!
