I heard about this book when I went to a conference last fall. She said it was scary/funny. I agree on being funny because I was laughing at some of the parts. But on the scary, it was so-so. Douglas was kind of creepy though. I was kind of surprised when the author brought in the whole werewolf part of the story. I am kind of done with the whole werewolf storyline.

Also, I thought the ending was kind of typical with the huge climatic scene and then the main character is in the hospital with all the other characters telling him what happened because he "blacked out". Didn't hear this was suppose to be a series but it kind of ended like it might be.

This book had such an interesting concept to me not to mention a really pretty cover. I kept putting it off but finally got around to it. I really enjoyed the book and writting style. There were some cliches but they all really helped develop the charcters. As well as some really good plot twists that I didn't see coming. Can't wait to read the next one c:

A fun fast-paced read. Content warning for violence, torture, and sex (none of which are graphic).

I loved this book. It was sarcastic, funny, had a lot of action, and it had my favorite supernatural animal: werewolves. Oh yeah!I loved it and I cannot wait to buy it. Totally.

5 Stars, this was the most entertaining book I have read so far this year with its severed heads and kinky cage sex. It even had my (I wish it was) spirit animal Panda's. I had so much fun with it and this book is what I needed! Something different, fun and a quick read. Even though It took me all week to finish this one (due to laziness) This book could of been read in one sitting. I wish the end scene was drawn out and in my opinion it was to brief! BUT the end scene was still epic. I love this book for what its worth, which is that this book is a great time. I recommend this book for book hangovers or curing your reading slump. On to the next one.

So, I like this story. It is different and that's always good.

It does start off slow and a lot of the chapters focus on other characters, which is fine in the sense it does all come together, but I feel like you don't get to know Sam like you should since it is based on him.

Anyway, full review coming later.

Sometimes you can find a gem buried in the midst of available books at the library. I really liked the mythology and all the different things going on in this book. I didn't really like that the POV shifted from first to third, I usually prefer to stick with one. But overall, highly enjoyable.

Don't get me wrong I really liked this book but it just wasn't fabulous! I finished it in one session because I really wanted to know what happened next but it just left me a bit cold when I finished it. Sam was endearing enough but when I came on here to read about people finding him hilarious, I had to laugh. I don't think I laughed out loud once when reading this although I did find it entertaining. I couldn't help but think at several times that it felt like the author was writing a movie more so than a book. I will probably go onto the next one in the future but I am in no rush.
