🚜🚜🚜🚜🚜/ 5. Author Rebecca Colby has taken nursery rhymes and songs and reinvented them in this new picture book, Motor Goose! She's creatively weaved dump trucks, tractors, buses, rocket ships and more into the timeless jingles we all know and love. This was such a fun book to read and sing! Kids will enjoy hearing familiar rhythms and tunes and find laughs with the silly new characters. This book is appropriate for children of all ages. Little ones will enjoy the singing (my 15 month sure did) and older ones will enjoy recognizing and hearing the twists on old favorites. Nursery rhymes are already great ways to introduce new vocabulary, and Motor Goose adds an entirely new set of words! Kids will pick up the rhymes easily and those reluctant readers might gravitate towards this revamped, dirt-lover approved read!

What a fun idea! Of course some of the re-imagined nursery rhymes work better than others. My favorite was "Twinkle, Twinkle, UFO."
