I really loved this story. I read Secrets of a Charmed Life right before this. That sort of lessened this story for me, but I still loved it.

This was such a beautiful story with so many dimensions. I stop short of 5 stars because the story was a little bit of a slow burner at first, building slowly over time. That said, it may be that this was necessary to build such a bond with the main characters. I love that this story was ultimately about the resilience and contributions of women during WWII which is seldom recognised in our history books. I won’t forget this book in a hurry!
