This was a surprising favorite for me. I was afraid it would be overhyped. This was so deeply emotional and moving. The journeys that both sisters and their family had to go through was so well written. I had to go back a few days later to reread the last chapter because I was sobbing so hard I couldn’t read and any of it.

Well, this book was perfect. But, how could I expect anything different from Kristin Hannah? She is one of my favorite authors and this WWII book is just amazing in a heart breaking way. I wish I could give it ten stars!

This book is amazing in so many ways!
However I would say if you’re a new parent (especially one who suffers from PPA/PPD) do not read this book!
Everyone else; it’s fantastic!
