DNF at 20% because
Spoilerhe set her up to sleep with someone else
. That’s not acceptable in a romance novel in my book. No pun intended. I was very disappointed.

The audiobook is narrated by Jacob Morgan and Andi Arndt, in dual narration.

When you find yourself in front of your rock star boyfriend and a girl in your bed, what do you do?
You dump his a.s, you pack and you leave.
That’s what Dylan did. Now she is roommates with Grady, a firefighter and friend of her older brother.

I really like this story and I have to admit that Andi Arndt made an amazing job. She moved me so much.

This was such an intense, emotional, beautiful roller coaster ride that you will not want to get off of. It is such an amazing story. There was so much to each of the characters. There were so many layers and they were so well developed. The storyline was interesting and kept me sucked in the entire time. I found myself feeling everything the characters felt and I was completely involved in their story. I absolutely loved it. This is definitely a great series so far and I cannot wait to read more! K. Bromberg always amazes me with her words.

K. Bromberg did it again. She made me fall in love with another Malone brother. After Grant the sexy police officer, it’s time for seductive firefighter Grady Malone to shine. I loved his cockiness and funny attitude in Cuffed, but I wasn’t expecting all the struggles he lives with and we discover in Combust. In this read bursting with feels, we experience his fears, regrets, and battles with a new eye.

“Every touch is a splash of gasoline on a smolder. Every kiss is the match being lit. Every groan a lick of flame searing both my skin and my soul.”

Songwriter Dylan McCoy also knows heartache and insecurities. After her rockstar boyfriend cheated on her, this young woman finds sanctuary in Sunnyville to write new songs and heal her broken heart. She becomes roommate with Grady, who’s friend with her brother. From their first meeting, I was hooked on their relationship. The flirty banters are never-ending between these two. Grady shows his cockiness and sex appeal numerous times, but what makes me fall in love with him, is his fears about a traumatic event in his past that keeps haunting him.

Dylan is really self-conscious about her body and I loved how Grady shows her how sexy she is to him. They both slowly try to heal each other while still trying to maintain the growing feelings between them hidden. Their intensity in every single scene they share is so potent. The passion is explosive and beautiful, tainted with emotions too.

“I’m kissing you because when I’m with you, my mind stops, and the world starts turning again.”

This book wouldn’t be as good as it is without a strong group of secondary characters. Grant and Grayson, as Grady’s big brothers, like to rile him but also support him with their love. Some scenes with Grady’s parents also brings the feelings to a new level. The brotherhood at the fire station brings all the laughs and goofy moments.

“Face everything and rise.”

K. Bromberg signed here another romance you’ll feel into your heart and soul. Through smiles, laughs and tears you’ll discover a remarkable story about healing with the power of love! Combust is a must read!

There was nothing wrong with this book, it was well written and the characters were not annoying. It was just a book that I did not find that exciting or memorable.

K. Bromberg did it again. She made me feel. She made me hope. She made the Malones my dream. Three brothers with separate stories but each one will steal your heart.

Combust is the story of the youngest Malone. He will melt your heart and ignite your fire. All while making you believe it's all in your mind. Fears drive these two. Unless they take control that's all that ever will.
