I don't really like crime as a genre, but there something with this series. It has great narrators, and I love Edinburgh as a city. And the historical element makes it less gruesome, somehow 😅

God I love these books. I need a fourth one right now. Like, right now. I mean, waiting is hard and I don't like it so book 4 now, please??

This series isn't done yet!

And I'm so glad. What a mystery! Ian and Arthur Conan Doyle are back, as well as the familiar coworkers on the police force. But there's a rat. Who can it be? And there's a love interest that almost goes wrong.

Add to that the horrible crimes that are occurring in Edinburgh and you have an exciting, well-told story! I'm looking forward to the next one. Will Ian finally learn who killed his parents?
