A really interesting collection of 'essays' that are engaging and easy to understand for non scientists such as me!

A decent enough overview of 'the futures' as we currently imagine it might turn out. Cover topics like quantum computing, synthetic bio, robotics, artificial intelligence. No real surprises in this book if you're the sort of person who reads the science press regularly. However, if you aren't that sort of person this will bring you up to speed. Each chapter is by a different author with some being much better than others.
