My only regret was not also getting the ebook and only listening on audible. I took a short break from it due to vacation and then iron flames release, but if I had a physical or ebook it would have been finished awhile ago. It was such a cute book. There really wasn’t too much drama but I loved the way the two main characters bickered and their banter was so good. The enemy’s aspect wasn’t too strong so it’s a milder enemies to lovers. After some heavier things like iron flame, it was a nice pallet cleanser to help put you back on a feel good mood. Ex Hex has now been an Eve every October read, and this will be added to that as well. I also cannot wait for the third and final book to be released next October.

Okay, we get it, Annie likes cute witchy romance. It’s a thing. But really, this was enchanting. Had some twists that I wasn’t expecting & it had the sprinkling of magic, lust, wonder & mischief too.

The book was fine. A quick read, witty dialogue. Every time that author described a color, though, it was always “so dark it was almost another color.” So green it was almost black, so dark it was almost black, so black it was almost blue, and so on. Started to drive me crazy she used it so much, but an enjoyable read otherwise.

I enjoyed this more than the first book! Maybe because it takes place in the same town and with the same characters so I already felt familiar with them all? I think the plot was better but also the ending did wrap up pretty quickly without really resolving the main conflict, but I think she’ll tackle that in the next book. Overall still a 3.5-4 rating more for enjoyment rather than fabulous writing! I love a silly witchy book!

A delightful witchy romance. I didn’t realize this was a series and read this first. Tons of fun & the perfect setting.

I loved this book. Much less like the good witch and maybe more spicy though I can’t fully remember. I loved the action and it twists and I loved the chemistry between the protagonists.
