A book that makes thinking and diversity and Jesus compatible.

this book covers so much in a very efficient and clear way. it was structured well and kept my attention which can be a challenge with theology. some corny dad jokes are sprinkled throughout. I found this book incredibly helpful in understanding and sorting through my questions about scripture. I highly recommend this book for all looking to have a ballance between faith and reason. I also think it's an important read for people like me who read all of scripture and walk away troubled with questions.

This book is easy to read and understand which was perfect for a Bible beginner like me. He approaches the bible as the flawed book full or wisdom given at different time and contexts from different perspectives, which makes it more beautiful in my eyes. My favorite part was actually the very last section The Bible Just As It Is.

I really loved this and the resources in the back of the book are worth checking the book out from the library again. Will need to re-read sometime this year.
