Nothing wrong here, it just wasn’t working for me at the moment. Might come back to it later.

This book was so validating and exploratory of my grief journey. I absolutely loved Marisa's perspective on her own grief as well as the vulnerability she showed by giving us all of the emotions she feels. I also appreciated the research that was brought into this book.

Yes. What I was looking for in a grief & loss book. A little geared to specifics of the author but she still "kept" me. Thank you!

A beautifully written book that validates your grief without feeling self-help-y. Made me feel seen and see others better.

This book spoke about grief in such healing ways. I took a lot away about how to deal and grow with grief. It affirmed a lot that I knew and validated feelings that I had about expectations of grief. I wish she talked a little bit more about continuing to be a caregiver for family when losing a loved one. The “I’m sorry for your loss” phrase wasn’t discussed :/

Sis was spitting. When she said By being there for your people, even when it might not be convenient for you, that is an expression of love. When you show up for your people, the core of your community, no matter what – you also have the right to expect the same from them I had to text it to everyone I knew. Like?! And then she CONTINUED to clear a bitch.
