So good! I couldn't stop listening! I loved all the characters, especially the dragons. I love that Violet has a physical weakness but is still a total badass and her she's smart! I love the respect she has for the Scribes!

This book was incredible! I loved every chapter, tho they were incredibly long. lol. I had so much fun reading about dragons and fighting and all of the fun ins and outs of it all. I love the romance but that’s what made this a 4.75 instead of a 5 star. The spice scenes were so long and graphic and I just don’t find it necessary for it to be that way. Could’ve had a great moment of love and tension without being so graphic. Besides that, the book was phenomenal and I’m so excited to keep reading!

This book was overall fun to read. I listened to it on audiobook, but think I would have enjoyed to read it more. Violet is so smart and yet so simple at the same time. My biggest complaint for the book would be her back and forth about Xadens intentions regardless of circumstance and evidence. Other than that (and a few other instances where I questioned the author trying to portray her as honorable and compassionate but it just made her sound weak and whiney) it was a good book.
