Absolutely liked it just as all the other Robert Langdon stories. Not my favorite book in the series. But it has all the adrenaline rush that you should be able to find in a Dan Brown book.

"Love is not a finite emotion, our hearts create love as we need it".

Very good book, i would say everyone should read this series at one point in their life wheter they are religious or not.
I did keep getting confused with Avila and Ambra and i think its because Ambras surname is Vidal.
I had a coincidence happen while i was reading. The last line of chapter 75 "It reminded him of an oversized bag of garbage careening down a trash chute". I read the last lime just as our garbage truck came to pick up the garbage.

Anyway, it was a bit tedious to read in th beginning, like i would gladly put it down, but towards the end of the book the action became more and i could not put the book down at all.

I picked this up because i wanted something fun, easy to read and fast paced, but it's just soo long and boring.... It has potentials especially about the twist at the very end but i don't think it was handled well. The author likes teasing about controversial topic but in the end seems to be scared to go real deep into it, or to go out of the box, outside the exact same formula he's followed for all of his previous book.

I really just needed to listen to a page turner/plot driven book. This really did the trick. This wasn’t beautiful writing but I was completely entertained. And hello, it’s a book set in Spain that explores religion and Spanish history and the roll of technology in our lives. What’s not to like?

I’ve always enjoyed Dan Brown’s books. And while I liked this one, it was not my favorite. In the Langdon series of books the female protagonist is mostly just there to tag along and throw in some helpful facts here and there. I felt that especially with Ambra. She was mostly there to show diversity. And then there were the cliffhangers. Don’t get me wrong- I love a good cliffhanger, but there seemed more than usual in this book. I will admit that even as I was trying to figure out the twist for the entire book, I didn’t quite get there in time before it was revealed. Dan Brown can still surprise me. As always a great page turner.

It's rich with information about art and religions I hadn't heared before .. but it didn't answer the main question that I read this novel to know about it ; "where did we come from?" .. and it was expected to know where we are going without this novel , it isn't like other Langdon's novels.
