I had high hopes for this book, and to be honest, I was a little let down. It takes place over the week of a family member’s wedding. While there they play a game that the late sister used to be the champ of. It details some of the main character’s processing of the passing of her sister. It has a friendly tone, even with a sad story. Overall I think it drug a bit in the middle with the storyline.

Ich habe das Buch schon relativ genossen, aber ich fand die Geschichte vielleicht einfach zu einfach. Das Buch sollte natürlich auch so sein, aber ich habe vielleicht ein wenig mehr erwartet. Ich mochte die Ästhetik sehr und die Sommerlichen Aspekte, aber insgesamt war das Buch einfach nicht sehr besonders trotzdem angenehm.

The two main characters, don't really have that much chemistry and it is not really clear why they like each other. I did like the ending and the storyline around Merediths sister and assassin.
