I was excited going into this as the ending of Shadows of Light set this book up perfectly, and I was not disappointed.
The enemies/reluctant allies relationship between Sahira and Orin is my favourite thing in this series.
Sahira is such a strong willed, strong minded fmc and I couldn’t not love her.
Orin is a wicked asshole who you can’t help but love when you see his admirable qualities start to peak through.
UGH it was so good, I was addicted and I’m so excited for the next Sahira and Orin story

I have been waiting for these two to get some quality time—and it did not disappoint. I have a feeling I am going to enjoy these books more than the first half of the series.
I really enjoyed this one. I really wasn't sure what to expect coming out of Lexi and Coles story, especially because everything in that world was kind of settling, so entering this cursed realm was exactly what the story needed.
The premise of the whole realm trapping people there is great, and I love it. I have so many questions, but so do Sahira and Orin, so I know answers are coming.
I love their relationship, I have since the first moment they were put into a room together and as ridiculous as it might be, I'm so glad that it hasn't changed much. Orin is still obnoxiously (read: adorably, hilariously) awful. I'm also really loving getting to know Sahira as more than Lexi's aunt. The way she was portrayed in the previous books had me imagining her as some old aunt, so this has been great at getting me to reimagine her.
I'm loving this so far, and I'm really excited to see what the next one brings. I'm so curious to know who's pulling the strings behind this realm.

I’m not usually a fan of series that change POV after several books, but this still had my interest and might be my favorite of the series now so far. The main characters from the first 6 books are barely in this one. Keep that in mind if that’s something that’s bothersome to you when reading.
