I like to eat turkey for Thanksgiving dinner, and would like my preschooler to enjoy eating it too. He can choose to not eat meat when he is a bit older if he so chooses. Therefore, this book is not appropriate for my preschooler in my family.

This book is so great for preschool story time. The kids really get into it yelling "Run Turkey Run!" every time the Turkey cannot trick the farmer. It also has a really cute/clever ending.

I think if I had read this before [b:Turkey Trouble|6611641|Turkey Trouble|Wendi Silvano|http://photo.goodreads.com/books/1266785634s/6611641.jpg|6805633] I would have been more favorable to the story and rated it higher. But this is very similar to Turkey Trouble but I think it doesn't execute the concept as well.

This was enjoyed by both preschool storytime attendees and the kindergarten classes.

I needed some cute Thanksgiving picture books to suggest to parents and children that came in, and this one fit the bill!

A nice, repetitive book that can keep children entertained and interactive with the book.

Adorable.

Fun read aloud for the holiday. The turkey is trying to get away from the farmer by attempting to blend in with the other animals. The PreK kids enjoyed it.

This book was a little humorous. Overall, it did not really appeal to me, but at least it was a different kind of Thanksgiving book. So many of them are all the same. This is simply about a Turkey running for it's life from a farmer. The poor family end up having to eat grilled cheese for Thanksgiving as they have not turkey and apparently, no access to a store.

The nephew gave it 3 stars and he thought the turkey being chased by the gun toting farmer was chuckle worthy. The niece wouldn't read it, or didn't want to.

I gave it an extra star for being a little unique in the Thanksgiving literature.

Cute book. My daughter liked it. Kept comparing it to the Gingerbread Man. Cheerful art. Nice pace. I loved the honesty of the story. We eat turkeys and they come from farmers. What if one could escape? Great ending.
