Absolutely heartwarming story of chii's transition and how it affected her life. Its genuinely so adorable and I love it!!! Art is beautiful and it explains gender in a well thought out and easy to digest way. 100000/10 love this book

This was so cute! And had lots of explanations for the terms and stuff, which was great!

I'm dropping this at 50 pages because I'm not interested in reading it right now but this is exactly the kind of manga I have been dreaming my whole life about. I am so happy to see #ownvoices queer (trans in this case) nonfiction in manga this year and I hope this is the beginning of a new era of realistic depictions of people in manga. This is such an important work in which the author explains her experience of learning that she's female, coming out, falling in love, etc. I love and appreciate this very much, though I don't want to read it entirely right now.

5 out of 5 stars from start to finish. This is not only an incredibly sweet and wonderful story about her life and her relationship with her husband but has informative moments in between each chapter. From understanding terms or learning about absurd laws in Japan. Some of which I never knew. I realize this came out in 2016 so I wanted to see what all had changed with the laws in Japan and sadly not much at all is different. The relationship is so cute as well. He is the most cinnamon roll boy to her and I just love it so much. Her crying at the wedding and their notes at the end were delightful. They truly love each other and that's easy to see in this. A new favorite memoir.

it's a book that should be read by everyone so they'd understand better how trans people think and feel, it only takes about 40 minutes to completely read it and the payoff is huge!
