There was not enough of Leonard Cohen to make this a coherent book.  A lot of it felt like padding.  It probably should have been a long form article.

Thanks to NetGalley for the audiobook ARC!

Who By Fire is a fascinating look at a really unique time in the life of Leonard Cohen. Feeling a deep need and calling to help the cause in Israel during the Yom Kippur War, Cohen travelled to the Sinai. This book chronicles his time there, and some of the interesting things he experienced. Great read, full of never-before-published information.

i wish i had absorbed more from this book than that leonard cohen was a lecher - but i also absorbed that he was genuine and touched a lot of people

my understanding and respect for israeli culture deepened but not enough to talk about it
