I LOVED the narration style, you can tell that Haynes is passionate about mythology and knows her stuff.
She voices the characters in such a way that you grow attached to some and absolutely despise others. I thoroughly enjoyed the way this book brings together the various motives to provide a much deeper story and really challenges your preconceptions.

thank you so so much to NetGalley and Panmacmillan for an advance review copy of this book - I feel very lucky!
I absolutely loved this. medusa has been one of my favourite greek mythological figures for a long time (I even have a tattoo of her), so to be able to read a retelling of her story was so wonderful. Natalie Haynes is so so gifted in weaving together the perspectives of so many characters to build a full picture, without it ever feeling confusing or over complicated. she brilliantly shows the way that women have been misrepresented, how their stories have been pushed to the side to make way for the traditional, male ‘heroes’, and she does so with wry humour and intelligence. pub date is 15th september so not long to wait to get your hands on this!!
