This was such a beautiful peace of literature. It wasn’t boring as some other antique works were *cough Odyssey cough*. Emotions really guided this one which made it so vulnerable and genuine. I loved the irony of having eyes but still not being able to see. I just think it was way to short.

wow!

While not a true philosophy text, the contents of the subject matter, the contents certainly lend to philosophic discourse. The topics are still relevant, and presentation as per Sophocles is superb. This book deserves to be read and discussed, not just read as a simply play. Without the discussion, or narrative, much is lost.

The plot, and topics were covered decades ago in my philosophy and humanity classes in college, so the 'shock value' was nil. It is hard to rate it 5 stars based upon so much "history" prior to reading this.

BTW, I did not read this version, but another.
