I truly adored it. This is my second Binchy and i find her writing engaging and accessible. I would pick up another of hers.

I've seen a lot of reviews that refer to this as a "comfort read," but it definitely wasn't that for me - though I can see how some may feel that way. There were things about the book that I loved - I have a soft spot for small towns and quirky characters, so I loved Knockglen and it's residents. I loved Benny particularly - I could really sympathize and identify with her - and I loved her friendship with Eve. But there were other aspects and characters that really frustrated and irritated me. In general, it's probably just that this really isn't my typical genre/style of novel. It wasn't bad; I did enjoy it a lot at times, and I frequently didn't want to put it down, because I wanted to know what would happen next. Overall this was really just a middle-of-the-road novel for me.
