We've come to the end of the road for our Knockemout family and I could not be happier to end in such a great way.

Lucifer and Sloane were the couple I've been waiting since that bar scene in TWNGO and they did not disappoint. Their banter, their past, their chemistry, the way they cannot let go of one another... it was just everything I expected in this book and more.

Their story, their past... it broke my heart. Especially Lucian's. No kid should live through what he went through but I'm so glad he had his people, he had Knox and Nash, but most importantly he had Sloane and her parents. The family he finds in Sloane's parents warmed my cold black heart, they were one of the best parts of this book.

I loved every bit and minute while reading this book and I can't wait to reread it again.

The ending of this book amazed me… by how absurd it was. Listen, I loved all of it all the way up to my dude literally invading Sloans home and just, declaring they were in a relationship? And that it was fine?
emotional hopeful fast-paced

I do not understand how, despite every Knockemout book being over 500 pages, they somehow manage to feel like they are also too short. Like I could absolutely read more of these characters, although I really loved the epilogue and bonus epilogue. Sloane, as a librarian and therefore also a heavy reader, was probably the most relatable protagonist in the series with all her book/plot references. Her foray into online dating was hilarious (especially Massimo/Euge), and her sense of justice fed by Lucian’s backstory also brought us a great storyline about justice system concerns that helped put a big bow on the overarching Hugo storyline.
