~ This book was a 2 star spicy rating & a 4 star book rating
~ i liked lucien
~ but i wish he wasnf an asshole for some of the book
did i prefer him to knox definitely yes .
~ i also adored sloane ( with her being a bookworm like me she was easy to understand)
~ this was supposed to be enemies to lovers but it didnt feel right because they were like in their 40s . ( I kept imagining them as in their 30s but ik they are in their 40s .
~ i felt like lucien randomly deciding he wanted to start a family with her despite being adament about not wanting to for most of the book made no sense . ( marriage made sense but kids no)
~ the fact he was kind of an fbi agent was hot
~ one thing i liked is how the third act breakup didnf feel like a third act break ( tbh tho like usual i skipped most pages they were broken up in) ~ i actually half expected them to breakup again
~ i liked how unlike the last 2 books nobody got kidnapped ( atp it was a too predictable plot line so i’m happy lucy score didnt do it this time)
~ WHY DID HE HAVE TO BE AN ASSHOLE TO HER TO GET HER TO BREAK UP WITH HIM ( LIKE BRO COULD HAVE JUST EXPLAINED STUFF TO HER. so although the 3rd act breakup didnt feel like a third act breakup, cus i believed it was a mid act breakup idk why it was unnecessary . ( The way he went from sweet to suddenly an asshole
~ He and nash are probably my fave knockoutmen
~ its sad to see this series come to an end but it was a perfect ending.
i lowkey thought this was gonna be a story with that bodyguard cus i swear thats waht the last book was buildinh up to but maybe i was remembering wrong.
i did actually enjoy this book.

This was a lot better than I expected, definitely my favourite in the trilogy and a great way to wrap things up!!
Really liked Lucian and Sloane’s story! Childhood friends to enemies to lovers…getting the flashbacks to their story when they were teens was a great add. Lucian had A TON of childhood trauma from his parents and I liked that he had a therapist who was both a friend and there for him mentally. Also liked that Lucian was lowkey an onion—Score kept peeling layers back for Sloane to see that Lucian was not an evil overlord but still that boy who climbed the cherry tree outside her window *swoons* Overall, loved this series and will continue to pick up Lucy Score novels!

3.5⭐️ I loved the story but the 40 year olds acting like mid 20-something’s went on for 3 books too many. The characters are fun and I’ll never turn down a second chance romance and I was excited for this one but it simply did not live up to my expectations. That being said, this book was supremely entertaining Lucy can write a fun story start to finish and that’s all a girl can ask for.
felt wayyy too long - it was cute in parts and i loved how the ending tied it together
but it was LONG and that meant some scenes were repetitive and didn’t really add much to the plot
