Glad I finished the series. Nash & Lina are still my faves. Sloane is so annoying

for 'romance' books, this whole series was really funny!

the banter between the characters was very well written and all of the characters thoughts didn't feel cringey.

the whole trilogy is just extremely well planned and thought out.

It’s done, the series is done and it’s so sad to leave characters behind but what a way to end it all.

I have been waiting for Sloane and Lucian since their first moment together on the page in book 1. From that first moment, their spark was so fiery I knew their story would be a doozy. I had high expectations and they were certainly met.

I’ll admit, after three books with an overarching conflict, the wrap up on the conflict felt a little short and anti-climactic. Not to say it was poorly written but I think I wanted more when it came to that specific storyline.

However, despite its hefty length, the book was really well paced. Books this long can get slogged down in the details and we don’t get to see the romance progressing. In this case, Sloane and Lucian growth and chemistry were present even when they weren’t together, and I know it helped getting glimpses of so many previous characters.

I really enjoyed this book and sent many reaction videos to friends where I just squealed and had no coherent words. It was a great ending to a great series and a beautiful testament to family in all forms.

This book was such a rollecoaster. 0-40% it was good. 40-60% was okay. 60-90% was a TRAINWRECK (hence the the 3 stars) but the ending and epilogues were cute. I just have a Hard time imagining the main characters as 35 and 40 years old because sometimes they acted 15. The backstory/reason for hatred made sense. Also all the nicknames were crazy, no sane person actually speaks like that especially when getting kidnapped, facing arson, or two criminals shooting at you (isn’t this supposed to be small town romance? Lol)
