Email Connection

This started out interesting with the way Evan and Randi connected via email. The Sinclair men are so intense.

Both Evan and Randi had such painful backgrounds, it seems only natural they would be drawn to each other. The sex seemed to be more of a dominant feature in this book, but, I took it as a way two broken people could be close while they learned to move beyond the physical.

Although these are standalone books, I feel like you need to read them in order so that you will get the full effect.

I read Grady's book, and Dante's book. Somehow I managed to miss Book 2, which is Jared's. So, I feel like I was missing something reading Evan and Randi's book.

Still an interesting read, but I skimmed through some of the sex scenes because they became a tad repetitive and boring.

You Can't Buy Happiness!

I've been loving Scott's billionaire series since Simon and Kara's story! I'm addicted to the tortured soul alpha male, it's just something about them. J.S. Scott is perfect at writing them! The best thing is that with her books, she sneaks in cameos from your other fave billionaires too! Evan is the last single Sinclair brother, not including the cousins. He's been corresponding with a mystery woman for over a year since Christmas. He soon learns his mystery woman is none other than Miranda better known as Randi to all her friends and family. He and Randi are constantly at each other's throat while hiding a secret attraction to each other. In this book, you finally learn what made Evan the man he is. In the end, he gets his much deserved hea with Randi. Scott also gave us a taste of the beginnings of Micah's story in this book and I can't wait!

Standalone/Cliffhanger?: Standalone
Part of a Series?: Yes
----------------------------------
Meeting the Characters
Miranda Tyler/ Randi
Evan Sinclair
----------------------------------
What happens?
Story starts with the couple becoming unwitting penpals. They begin a friendship neither expected or wanted from one another without knowing it is each other. Along the same time they start to get better aquanted in real life as well.
Evan works out that he is writing to Randi and uses the conversation as a way to get to know her better in person and online. Randi has the potential to unlock Evan who is closed off, remote and hurting from the neglect and abuse suffered from his parents.
Final thoughts
Liked this romance. I liked Evan more as I read. He changes and becomes nicer and more open even though he isn't that open really. Randi is a sweetheart, she doesn't let him completely have his own way but she does let herself be woed. I liked them both.
Would I read again?: Yes

I expected more from this book after reading that interesting blurb.
Characters don't go so deep, plotline development and story issues are dealt with much too quickly and superficially.
A big fat meh all around.

We are back in Amesport, for Evan and Miranda's (Randi) story.

Evan is the arrogant and uptight elder Sinclair brother. In this we find out why Evan is the way he is. The things that happened to him at the hands of their father when he was younger that he kept hidden from his younger siblings.

Evan and Randi are attracted to each other from the moment they meet. Unknown to each other they become close email friends. Evan realises this earlier than Randi but doesn't say anything as he doesn't want to push her away.

Can't wait to read the next book which is Micah & Tessa's story. You got an introduction to these characters in this book.

I thought this would be my least liked book so far from the series. Boy was I sooo wrong. Fell in love with Evan Sinclair. Hard.

I think Evan is my favourite billionaire... so far. I get him... and I want to just hug him... a lot!! I totally understand why he didn't tell Randi... he was going to... but, time is not always on our side.

With each book of the Sinclairs family series, you are more connected to the characters; you are fond of the new and the old characters.
Yes, Evan, our leading male character, is arrogant and cocky, but he has his reasons for doing so. He protects his siblings because that is what he did for his entire life. Randi, the female love interest of our story, had a tough childhood, and she is grieving her foster mother's recent death.

Evan is again in Amesport for his nephew’s party, and his meeting with Randi spark their love without knowing that Randi & Evan anonymously correspond via emails. (It is funny that in a couple of books I read with the same theme, anonymous correspondence, the male protagonist finds out first.)

Randi is an excellent teacher to her students, but she also teaches Evan to open up, to live life to the fullest for himself, and shows him how to be happy, enjoys the feeling of happiness. This installment of the series reminds me of the movie ’You Got Mail.’ But Tom Hanks is not so grumpy as Evan is at the beginning of the story.
Looking forward to reading the following books of the series, in ’The Billionaire’s Touch,’ you see glimpses of relationships of the upcoming two couples. Tessa & Micah; Kristin & Jullian.
