The way I bawled at the end of this book 😭 while the simple, almost child-like storytelling leaves parts of the story weaker, namely the straightforwardness and lack of complexity in the plot, it is more of a philosophical book that distills love and loss into its truest, most uplifting and most painful forms.

This cute little book instantly became one of my favourites. It deals with heavy topics in a pure way, and it's full of beautiful quotes. It's my comfort book, and I'll never stop recommending it.

Reminds me of the little prince. Youthful in it's philosophy. Simplistic in it's narration but powerful and moving. I enjoyed this short book and it's enchanting descriptions. I also have a new love of snakes. To Lanmo.
