A truly unique story of Bob finally discovering a lost relative from a childhood photo. He deceives his wife as he goes to Italy and reconnecting. Things don't go as planned from day one, and he struggles. Unknown to him he makes the right connections and is able to travel with Jim to learn of his life long drive to rectify the sins of war. Great characters and a wonderful read.

This book was a uniquely told World War II tale and one that is not often touched upon, that of the war front in Italy. It is told through the viewpoint of Bob, the nephew of a long lost American soldier, who receives a piece of mail from his Uncle who has apparently been in Italy this whole time. With no address to go off of, Bob sets off on a journey to Italy to seek out his Uncle. What he learns is terrifying, intriguing, and definitely something he will never forget.
