My students loved this book as a novel study, it is fun and funny. They enjoy doing voices and playing out the story as well as the interactions between characters. I felt that this book wasn't quite as good as the first as the ending was kind of ... wonky. There was not a lot of explanation about what happened with one of the chicken squad characters which I felt was just a bit odd.

This feels stronger than the first one but is super adorable. Some good lessons packed into this book like sharing and don't be quick to make assumptions. Good read aloud to toddlers who love Click, Clack Moo and want something longer. Preschoolers who have started reading on their own would enjoy this. Readers can start here if they'd prefer.

I read this to beef up my knowledge on middle grade chapter books. It was quite fun! I like how large the text is, and how it's broken up by funny illustrations. The ending/conclusion was a little lacking, but I will recommend it to young readers interested in mysteries and humor.

They're baaaack! The Chicken Squad! And this time, helping out a weird blue chicken (also known as a Blue Jay). Complete with banter and underlying grown-up jokes, I'm a big fan of the series. I'm looking forward greatly to the next installment.

While I like the idea of this book, it just didn't really work for me. I never really found it funny. And my daughter started reading it, came back after a few pages and said, this book wasn't really for her.

Very fun! I think I liked the first one a smidge more but it was still very enjoyable.
