Okay I thought this was a bully romance not a freaking murder investigation.

Not what I was looking for, but it was an okay read.

PLOT :

Girl moves to a new town, where she encounters a guy in the woods and now they hate each other’s guts but are sexually attracted to each other. Which according to the guy is troublesome so he plans on bullying her out of town.

But then shit happens she discovers things about him and is curious to find out what actually happened.

CHARACTERS :

The anti-hero Briar thinks he’s fucked up beyond repair which is annoying because he didn’t even bother to find out what actually happened that night by himself and just assumed everything then left it completely on his best friend Marcus to fix his mess.

And I find it lame to know that he never even suspects Marcus when he knows how weird he is.

But okay I guess that was the author’s way of not wanting the readers to find out Marcus was it. But man it was waaaaaaay to predictable. I knew it since the moment he told briar that he feels he’s seen her somewhere.

Okay back to briar— the author wants to portray that briar is a sickly horny guy who just gropes the girl whenever he feels like it BUT THATS OKAY BECAUSE THATS WHAT WE’RE HERE FOR however if he didn’t do what he did ( if uk what I’m saying ) then why does he lose control so easily I don’t get it.

Now coming to the our heroine Indi, her mother just got murdered and the case is ongoing but she’s more curious to find out what happens to Jessica than helping out her own mothers case.

She doesn’t even know Jessica and she want to do her justice by helping her friend addy who she just met. And in order to do so she’s ready to get all types of involved with briar the guy who just assaulted her in the woods.

ROMANCE :

Okay I came here for some Bully ROMANCE but I got nothing.

they are just sexually attracted to each other and can’t resist the temptations. So she lets the briar the guy who she believes killed Jessica—grab her, kiss her and even finger her. BUT okay no problem we’re here for the dark stuff.

However My problem is they just speak a few words and then he’s kissing her senseless and this continues throughout the entire book.

And then when everything’s revealed the Author just decided to skip to the part where briar surprises indi tells her he doesn’t like her because he loves her since he first met her.

WHEN THE FUCK DID YOU FALL IN LOVE BITCH!!??? I MEAN IF THATS LOVE THEN IDK WHAT THE FUCK IS LUST.

REVIEW:

2 stars because I didn’t DNF this book, and it was quite a page turner no matter how very predictable it was. I did kind of enjoy they’re sick moments together. So Yesh that’s pretty much it.

Would I recommend this book? NO THERE BETTER BOOKS TO READ. :)

Indecisa sobre la puntuación que ponerla ya que estuvo todo el día leyéndolo enganchada y entretenida pero por otra parte tuve muchísimos sentimientos negativos encontrados, con un final agrio a pesar de ser “feliz”. Me decidí ponerle

no words

Look— am I embarrassed as hell to admit I loved this? Yes. Am I furious at myself for it? Also, yes. But it was dark, it was twisted, I figured out the big “plot twist” maybe 1/3 of the way through but it was still well written. I enjoyed it.

I’m not going to try and convince you that this novel was good, because it wasn’t. Loads of tiggers, and features a lot of r*pe and murder which I didn’t really expect for this type of novel.

Very cliche of course, but when are these type of novels not. I found the plot to be all over the places and there were so many mini storylines going on, it was hard to keep up. The ending made no sense with the plot line. Just felt thrown in there and that was that which didn’t actually fit the main plot of the story. It didn’t even fit the characters either.

It was a “fun” little read to pass time. I won’t be picking up the rest of the series as I’m worried about where this series could even possibly go after this. Like a high school friend in a new town happens to be a murder and rapist, who framed his best friend for his actions but still made it seem to go away. Don’t forget the new chick in town whose mother raped and killed by this dude who also burnt down the family home. Yeah. Okay. I don’t need to see where this can go.
