Another Neil Gaiman read! I love the way he narrates and the words make the stories so much more intriguing. I knew about Thor and Loki, but enjoyed all the stories of the other gods and mythical creatures such as Fenrir. Or how about Thor's Wedding? That was a funny one. Really enjoyed this book! Wish there was one similar to the Greek Gods!

Mythology isn’t really my jam, but I listened to this in preparation for an upcoming trip to Norway. I thoroughly enjoy listening to Neil Gaiman’s narration. I also liked Loki and Thor and hearing more of their stories (unrelated to Marvel movies). It’s interesting how the mythology, gods, and goddesses of different cultures share similarities and overlap with one another.

I like learning about Norse mythology in this way, but was bummed when I learned that these retelling aren’t necessarily in-line with the “original” versions. I get that this is what happens with myths, but I’d prefer if he had stayed more true to the older versions. I feel like I have to research where he made changes now.

I used to be a huge Neil Gaiman fan but since it has been revealed that he is a sexual predator I will not start or finish anything I had not already done going forward.

I am a big fan of mythology and of Neil Gaiman so this was a great read. I have read other versions of Norse Mythology, but I think this one was my favorite so far. Gaiman really made it his own.

Neil Gaiman is a master storyteller that provides an accessible and concise rendition of Norse mythology. In our new world of increasingly accurate preservation of history, he finds a way to recreate the fluidity of myths and legends by telling his version of this mythology. I have no idea how accurate or embellished his version is, but I have no desire to fact-check and am content to allow this collection its well-deserved place among existing sources. This is now my version of true Norse mythology.

Great cast! This reading was well done. BBC really brings Neil Gaiman's book to life.
