I don't generally like to compare things to other things, but I'm making an exception here. The Da Vinci Code/National Treasure vibes are strong in this. It makes for a quick read about history (and mystery #seewhatididthere) around the Revolutionary War. I read this in one sitting, and I enjoyed it. If there were more to the story, I'd check it out.

I had very mixed feelings of this book. There's some decent history research involved, though it takes liberties for the plot. If you've ever watched the National Treasure movies, especially the first one, you'll have a bit of an idea of what to expect there. The three main characters are passable, though none are particularly memorable, or particularly likeable. Hailey and Nick are clearly the two protagonists despite Adrian getting an equal focus on the cover. The plot moves along though it feels disjointed. The ending didn't really solve much and felt like an obvious hole left open for a sequel.

It's truthfully probably a 2-star book, but it did manage to hold my interest enough for me to bump it up to 3 stars.

Like reading a Jeffrey Archer thriller from the 90s.

If you're like me, and were really interested in the book because the blurb you read about it talked about the Isabella Stewart Gardner museum heist, don't bother with it. It is incidental to the story. If you're a fan of books like The Da Vinci Code, then do bother reading it.

Named after the infamous Paul Revere’s own midnight ride during the American Revolution, this book is a wild ride through the heart of Boston. Reminiscent of books like ‘The DaVinci Code’, this is an intellectual thriller complete with a university professor to fill you in on all the necessary details, but with enough action that it was worth keeping a body count. Ben Mezrich has had other books turned into movies, and I could definitely see this cinematic book transfer well to the big screen. I thoroughly enjoyed this book.
